Further details to be posted shortly.
Mr T continues to be Mr Organiser extraordinaire, I can sense a real feeling of excitement bubbling away under the surface despite some acts dropping out rather disappointingly and accommodation issues for those coming from up country, but heyho, all in a days work for my Man
The running order/line-up for the 3 days is now finalised and up on the site, 12 days to the start......SEE YOU THERE It's getting closerWell, since I last "blogged" is that as new verb for the new millennium? Anyway, since I last did that, we have finally sorted out the photo gallery, we have pictures from 2002 through to 2009, have a look see if you kind find yourself, you might even see a picture of you too!! Enough I hear you saying.... anyhooo, they are loading really quickly too, the pictures, thanks mainly to Bob Sharples once again for a nifty piece of software! We have also been discussing layout of the beer garden too, I personally feel that last year didn't work very well, especially for those performing on the accoustic stage and for those trying to watch them as there was a constant stream of people walking in front of the stage. Suggestions for alternative layout gratefully received. T-shirt girl, namely Holly, Mr Ts daughter is currently revising hard for her A Levels, understandably the design for the 2010 T-shirts is on the back burner at them moment, however she assures us that she will get onto it as soon as she is able to draw breath and escape from the madness of exams. We are hoping to set up on line t-shirt buying from this site, stand by, not sure if that is going to be possible, but you never know, we will manage something.
Anyway, looking forward to it, I will continue to keep you up dated and if you are at Flora Day next weekend look out for us dancing the midday dance, we are the last couple so make sure you clap Last Updated (Saturday, 01 May 2010 15:40) RumoursHave you ever been "Spling Splanged" ? The legendary Spling Splang who performed at the first couple of Helstonburys are rumoured to be making a comeback, one night only. Watch this space. Gertcha - Mr T and Scooby are in talks and dusting down their pork pie hats in readiness for the come back gig of the year "Daz and Chav". They will pay their own personal tribute to their icons!!!!!!!! Latest newsThank goodness we are in Paignton with Tom, he has helped us create a login area for people to register with the site and receive regular news and updates, and to Mr T's delight we now have a guest book area so why don't you leave us a message. Coming soon, a running order for each day. Latest band news, check out The Real Matt Jones and Landon Smith, both will be performing at Helstonbury, they are recording artists from America looking for exposure in the UK, check out their myspace's now. See band listings for links. Garden extension - due to the complexity of work required, the proposed expansion of the beer garden is not happening for the time being. Kids like to Rock this year (Friday) will have an accoustic stage to allow younger artists to perform in the beer garden.
Back soon and don't forget to register. More band news
Well, it's been a while, and so much more has happened, Mr T has been a organisin' again....Dizzy Lizzy are confirmed for the Sunday night, whoo hoo, THEEE BEST THIN LIZZY TRIBUTE BAND you will ever see; if you don't know who Thin Lizzy are (please don't admit that in front of my daughter) you WILL appreciate the sheer brilliance of the Band's rock playing genius The gallery is currently being created, the photos that were uploaded before were loading too slowly so some technical work (thanks Bob) has been done to them to make them load far more quickly, they are from 2005 to 2009. Check them out and see if you can find yourself amongst them. Many thanks to Bob Sharples for supplying all the photographs, his website is www.bobsharplesphotography.co.uk visit the site to purchase some of his excellent photography not just from Helstonbury but from his many other photographic projects around Cornwall and beyond. Mr T tells me it will be a tight thing to fit all the bands in this year, many bands wish to play such is the fame of Helstonbury, he tells me that he is doing his utmost to fit all those that wish to play into the programme but due to time constraints this may not be possible, here's hoping he manages it.
By the way, if anyone knows of any local causes, groups or individuals who may wish to apply for a share of the funds raised by Helstonbury this year, please email Mr T at
